STRUCTURE

1.    Theory X and Theory Y
Discover how the role and communication style of the manager has evolved knowledge-based economies. Explore the difference between Theory X and Theory Y management styles and their impact on management communication.

2.    Feedback and Performance Management
Explore how to motivate staff through giving effective feedback. Learn to listen beyond words and limit bias. Unlock the power of the SCARF model (status, certainty, autonomy, relatedness and fairness).

3.    Directing, Delegating and Supporting
Explore how to give clear directives by using tips from training and educational psychology. Discover how to delegate the right way and ensure expectations are met. Explore the right way to provide support and use motivators.

4.    Coaching
Learn how to coach using both directive and non-directive approaches. Identify good coaching questions and learn how to use deep listening. Learn how to build rapport with coachees and create a safe environment for them.

5.    Conflict Management
Learn how to mediate and manage conflict in your team. Explore how you can be non-biased and learn to use collaborative language to defuse volatile situations. Learn the Mango approach to difficult behaviour at work and use our comprehensive toolbox.
